Acoustic Night, 'The Blue Lantern' Sessions: RadCo

Event details

Expect a Jools Holland-style setting, with the best sell-out names from the acoustic scene.

Experience the Blue Lantern Sessions at Storyhouse, an intimate evening of acoustic music featuring top Roots, World, and Acoustic artists.

Inspired by an open mic where they first met (called the Blue Lantern), Welsh duo Igloo Hearts bring this vision back to life, with a unique twist, at The Garret Theatre.

Led by James and Katie MacGregor, (recently featured on the Channel 4 show ‘The Piano’) Igloo Hearts promises an immersive experience akin to a cozy living room atmosphere.

Prepare for captivating performances that evoke goosebumps and stir the emotions.

The evening begins with Igloo Hearts as hosts, followed by an ‘up and coming’ support artist, before the main headline act takes to the stage.

RadCo

Join BBC Radio’s Mark Radcliffe and friends (and foes) for a genial meander through twenty-five years of ‘drinking and thinking songs’ by his previous bands: The Family Mahone, Foes and Galleon Blast.
The Mahones played their first gig in 1998 since when Mark and his largely Chester-based musical chums have plied their dubious trade in several line-ups which, in all honesty, have all been quite similar.
This performance picks out songs from their less-than-illustrious back catalogue for a relaxed, age-appropriate re-appraisal.
With Rad Co appearances usually selling out in record speed, in the bastardised words of Fred Pontin (one for the teenagers): ‘book early to ensure disappointment’
