Tales of the Mind: Creative Writing Workshop

This event is being held before the preview screening of The Outrun, in partnership with Reclaim The Frame.
Join writer Claire Beerjeraz for a 2-hour creative writing workshop exploring the intersection of Scottish mythology and wellbeing.
Drawing inspiration from ancient tales like the Selkies and the Cailleach, you’ll engage with guided prompts and thoughtful discussions to craft emotion-driven stories that weave together mythological symbols and personal challenges.
This workshop offers a space to reflect, write, and discover new insights through the lens of folklore and personal experience.
Open to all levels of writing experience.

Claire Beerjeraz (She/They) is a freelance Spoken Word Artist, Writer, Workshop Facilitator, Performer and Creative Therapist.
Her work focuses on the intersections of her own identity and issues placed within our society, combing creativity with activism.
Claire has been a workshop facilitator since 2016, facilitating various sessions for organisations such as Tmesis Theatre, Writing on the Wall, University of Liverpool, The Everyman Theatre, 20 Stories High and The Anthony Walker Foundation.
Claire enjoys hosting workshops that provide a space for empowerment, connection, and creative fluidity. She strives to use her creative mediums for positive change, discourse, and healing.
