Storyhouse Elders: Monthly Event

A series of monthly events taking place on the first Monday (apart from July where it’s the 2^nd Monday) of every month 10.30 – 12noon in the Garret Bar.

Monday 6 January – New Year, New You – All You Need is Love ❤️

Kicking off January 2025 with a bang! Join Tina Symes this month where she will share practical tips and tools to help you live your best life to help support your mental health and wellbeing.

Tina believes in ‘living your life to your max’ no matter what your age. Her energy and tenacity is infectious which you might have witnessed at Storyhouse Elders Week in October 2024. Everyone welcome –  we don’t check ID!

Monday 3 February – LGBTQ+ History Month

A variety of activities about LGBTQ+ History Month in addition to a short presentation from Radiate Arts with information of the free drop-in events you can take part in throughout February. Radiate Arts CIC is an inclusive, not-for-profit company. They facilitate creative workshops and experiences that promote positivity, connection and wellbeing.

Monday 3 March  –  Sketch Book Workshop  

Aleta Doran is the Emerita Artist in Residence at Chester Cathedral. Aleta’s career has involved creating mosaics for public spaces, including the Countess of Chester Country Park and local schools and hospitals, and delivering art workshops. Aleta has also curated exhibitions including Trena Cox: Reflections 100.

This sketchbook workshop will emphasise drawing for wellbeing – participants don’t require any previous experience. Everyone Welcome.
