Spirit of The North

Spirit of the North is a star-studded variety show celebrating incredible talent from every aspect of the performing arts in the Northwest of England, and is being held to raise vital funds for the NeuroMuscular Centre (NMC) in Winsford. 

This exciting event is a fresh and exciting re-invention of an NMC favourite ‘Spirit of Christmas’ and will showcase a wide range of performances and special celebrity acts, including much loved Matthew Kelly, Downton Abbey’s Jim Carter, Blackadder’s Tim McInnerny, Chester’s brilliant choir Proud Mary’s, Roberts Bakery Brass Band, dancers, singers, and much, much more. The event is hosted by comedian Justin Moorhouse, and Corrie villain Ian Bartholomew, and guarantees an evening of fun, laughter, music and entertainment, with a hefty dose of heartfelt support for a vital cause. 

VIP ticket holders are also invited to the After Show Party straight after the performance for fizz, nibbles and to meet and mingle with the celebrities from the show. 

The NeuroMuscular Centre is a pioneering charity based in Winsford, Cheshire, providing vital services and specialist support for individuals and families affected by neuromuscular conditions across the UK.  NMC offers essential services that the NHS does not, including physiotherapy, counselling, training, and support—empowering people with neuromuscular conditions to live life to the fullest.  As a charity, they rely entirely on generosity to continue their work, which costs over £1.2 million per year to deliver.
