Honest, visceral, sweaty.
An elite-level youth orchestra practices during half-term holidays in preparation for their annual concert.
Playing together unlocks feelings of success, worthiness, and idealism. How do you nurture the joy of creativity whilst also wanting to be the best? Is striving for artistic excellence the same as being an artist, and is it worth all the pressure?
Orchestra was part of the National Theatre Connections 2024 program, which commissions new plays for young people to perform.
