Mallory and the Mountain is a brand new musical created by Ollie Mills, with previews at Manchester’s Hope Mill Theatre and the Lowry, as is part of Imaginality Production‘s mission to create innovative musicals rooted in Northern stories.

Based on an inspiring true story, Mallory and the Mountain is a new musical that recounts an adventurous life that begins with an ambitious young boy in Cheshire, climbing to the top of a church tower and having visions of a world beyond his wildest imagination. 

With a powerful score that combines folk-rock with cinematic soundscapes to bring Everest to life, the show unpacks mountaineering’s biggest mystery in a story of courage, conquest and the price of dreams.
