Improvisation Workshop

Improvisational theatre, often called improvisation or improv, is a form of theatre, often filled with laughter, in which all of what is performed is unscripted. This 60 minute workshop is a great way to try improv as a beginner. If you love to be creative and want to improve your public speaking skills and confidence to find your voice, then give this a try.

About Sekki Tabasuares
Because she is an immigrant, Sekki never stops taking steps to build bridges in her new community. In Cyprus, she volunteered for a human rights organisation that helped survivors of human trafficking. In Derbyshire, she co-founded a community of improvisers called Glossop Improv. In North Wales, she co-founded a thriving community called Flintshire Funnybone Improv, and a social enterprise called Stand Tall Improv CIC. The main idea is that meaningful connections can be made despite the language barrier, cultural differences, or economic backgrounds. From creative expression to public speaking, you’ll always find her championing everyone’s access to inclusive spaces where everyone can express themselves and find the FUN in spontaneity. She hails from the Philippines, land of the kalamansi fruit, which she misses a lot (amongst many other precious memories).
