Creative Writing Workshop with Clara Vulliamy (The Dog Squad)

Event details

Part of WayWord Festival for kids

Clara’s event is comprised of a mini creative writing session, for children to learn to write their own news article, doodle FUN draw-along exercises, and even a ‘make your own Press Pack’ session!

Meet Eva, Simone and Ash: best friends, budding journalists, and the stars of this delightful new series about family, friends, mystery solving – and, of course, DOGS! From the author of the much-loved MARSHMALLOW PIE and DOTTY DETECTIVE books. Can the Dog Squad help everyone learn to work as a team, turn storm clouds to sunshine – and save the Rescue Centre in time? This charming series is perfect for children age 7-11 and for reluctant readers.

Clara Vulliamy was born in London and studied at Chelsea School of Art, The Ruskin and the Royal Academy. She is the daughter of the celebrated author-illustrator Shirley Hughes and began illustrating picture books when she had her own children. She has since written and illustrated many stories, sometimes collaborating with her mother.
