Meet a panel of artists, creatives and writers, each working on creative projects to raise awareness of domestic abuse. 

At this event you will learn how artists are using art as a way of recovery, productivity and creativity. We hope you will leave this event feeling that there is hope in every story.  


Emma Bramley and Sarah Hogarth (Writers and Directors at All Things Considered Theatre) will talk about their current project  – Unsolicited – a cabaret theatre show about sexual assault, misogyny and banter.  

Emma Hickman has written and produced an award winning podcast series called Eliza: A Robot Story. You can listen to the podcast on your preferred streaming app.  

Natasha Edge has written and produced a film called ‘Its Just’ and is founder of The It’s Just Project. You can watch the film on YouTube 

Chinwe Enyinna is a survivor of abuse and is currently completing her book which will be published this year.  

Chaired by Professor Emma Rees. Emma Rees is a Professor at the University of Chester where she is also Director of the Institute of Gender Studies. She’s committed to inclusive, intersectional feminist teaching, writing, and leadership, and is author of The Vagina (Bloomsbury). Emma is regularly called on as a book reviewer, columnist, and media expert; and is a trustee on the Board of Chester Women’s Aid.
