5th Anniversary Art Exhibition by PACh

Storyhouse and Place for the Arts in Chester (PACh) are pleased to announce their collaboration to further develop the Visual Arts sector in Chester. This will take the form of seeking to secure additional premises to operate as pop-up galleries and a site for a permanent artists’ studio that can serve as a hub for visual creative arts in the city. That collaboration will be celebrated by a PACh 5th Anniversary Art Exhibition at Storyhouse in August.

Over the last 5 years, PACh, (a not for profit community interest company (CIC) run by volunteers) has run a series of pop-up galleries in empty retail spaces where local artists exhibit, and sell their work while sharing the task of staffing . Over 70 artists have participated over that time, and these can help to form a nucleus of talent to develop the city as a hub for working artists. Two premises are currently in operation in the centre of Chester continuing to contribute to the development of visual arts in the city ( Art at the Cross and ArtPop by the Forum).

Several PACh artists are taking part in the 5th Anniversary Art Exhibition at Storyhouse – both those who have showcased their work in the past and those who are exhibiting at the moment. The exhibition runs from 22 August till 22 September, do not miss this beautiful show of Chester-based talent!
