Kate Blakemore: Period Poverty

Kate Blakemore (Cheshire Women’s Collaborator chair and founder of charity Motherwell Cheshire) speaks about the difficulties facing women and girls trying to afford period products and the lack of basic understanding around their needs at that time of the month.  Kate will update us on the partnership collaboration between Period Power, Motherwell Cheshire, Weaver Valley Rotary, Changing Lives Together and Cheshire West Inspirers who are working together to eliminate Period Poverty in Cheshire.

Lou Smith: Dance for Recovery

Dance and most notably SOS Dance has been pivotal in her recovery from Post Natal Depression (PND) after having her second child. After doing online tutorials, she trained to become a BOSS (teacher) as there was nothing like it around. She qualified in August 22, launching her first class the following month. Lou have taught in various locations across North Wales since, teaching sessions for workshops and team building as well as weekly classes. Lou says: “SOS provides me much joy, makes her feel like ‘me’, and I love sharing the positive vibes and feelings that come from it with others.”
