Storyhouse is a charity, we’re a creative hub and a home for communities in Chester, dedicated to creating transformative opportunities for young people living in the city. We produce world-class theatre and enrich lives across our community.

Weddings at Storyhouse

Do you dream of exchanging vows under the spotlights on a grand theatre stage; want to make your love story a blockbuster event in a boutique cinema; or looking for a chic and intimate bar with a Chester skyline view to make your own?

The Meeting Room

A welcoming and creative space.
Located in the library on the the second floor, our Meeting Room is a great space for smaller meetings.
Seats up to 14.

An elegant space located in our glass extension.
The Garret Bar is a perfect space for informal meetings or special occasions.
Seats up to 40 or 50 standing

Garret Theatre

Our flexible-studio style theatre.
Perfect for a larger conference space or a blank canvas to plan your party.
Seats up to 140 on raked seating or up to 200 standing.

Cinema

Our independent, boutique city-centre cinema.
Great for presentations or private cinema screenings.
Available Monday – Thursday and must be booked at least 8 weeks in advance.
Seats up to 92.

Theatre

Our main theatre has two auditorium layouts, enabling us to host both large productions and more intimate shows.
Great for large presentations, awards shows and more.
Seats up to 800.
