An exciting new development for 2024/25, the inaugural Storyhouse Schools’ Festival gives your students the opportunity to perform on the Storyhouse main stage!

Signing up for the Schools’ Festival will enable your school to receive:

– three pre-festival workshops, where your students and staff will work with a Creative Learning Practitioner to develop and refine a piece of theatre of your choosing.

– one planning CPD workshop for teachers to help develop the technical, staging and marketing elements of your show.

– a performance on Storyhouse’s main stage with full technical support to an invited audience

The Storyhouse Schools’ Festival is an immersive theatrical experience, where young people develop their performance skills as well as technical and backstage elements such as lighting and sound through a series of workshops with a Storyhouse team member.

Teachers will have the chance to find out more about the skills needed for their students to perform on stage in a CPD workshop led by Storyhouse staff to fully equip them and their young people before the big day.

The students will then put their skills into action when they perform in their own production on the professional Storyhouse  stage with full technical support . This production could be something you’re already working on in school to enhance your students’ experience or a new piece created especially for the Festival. The performance will open to invited audience of special guests selected by the schools.

Join other schools from across the area to watch and support each other and take part in an exciting and unforgettable event performing on stage at Storyhouse.

Schools who have partnered with us at the gold or silver level can add The Storyhouse Schools’ Festival to their package at the discounted rate of £800.
