Storyhouse are excited to announce that we are holding one day of open auditions on Sunday 7th July at Storyhouse for Sleeping Beauty produced by Storyhouse Originals. This will be a group audition of 30 people where you may be asked to perform a short scene learn a dance routine and sing as part of a group or on your own.
Requirements
We are looking for locally based performers who live 21 miles or under from Storyhouse. You will need to have high stamina and the ability to work a professional show over the Christmas Period. You must be enthusiastic about dancing, singing and acting. We are wanting to see people of all genders and ages.
To apply you must be available for all of the rehearsals and show dates.
Dates of performances and rehearsals
Rehearsals Dates: 31st October- 27th November
Tech Week: 28th November -4th December
The show dates are the 5th December – 29th December

The audition date is Sunday 7th July at Storyhouse. We have limited audition slots available and will only be seeing 30 people for a 4-hour group audition 12.30pm-3pm. The audition will be with Director, Writer, MD, Assistant Choreographer, Producer and Assistant Producer. The auditions will be filmed.

If you fit into all of the requirements, please download and complete this form and then email it to casting@storyhouse.com to request an audition spot. Please include with your application a self-tape of the attached scene and a verse and chorus (up to 2mins) of a pop/soul/rock song of your choice in the style of the character. Spaces will be limited to 30 people, so if you’re interested, it’s important to send us an email by Deadline 24th June at 7pm.
