Casting call: Young Lola/Simon
Storyhouse are looking for a young male performer aged 8-12 to play the role of young Lola/Simon for our upcoming production of Kinky Boots. Applicants will need to be confident singers and dancers and be available for all rehearsal and performance dates (listed below).
Kinky Boots is directed by Amber Sinclair-Case and is a Storyhouse Originals production. The show is based on the motion picture of the same name, and adapted for the stage by Harvey Fierstein with music by Cyndi Lauper.
Audition date: Tuesday 20 February at Storyhouse.
There are limited audition slots available. Each audition slot will be 15 minutes with the Musical Director and Producer of Kinky Boots. Auditions will be filmed.

Young Lola/Simon
Male presenting, age 8-12. This is our lead Lola as a 10 year old boy who already knows he’s destined to wear high heels. Sings and must be comfortable walking in heels. Appears in the opening and closing scene.
Appearance: Black-Other Areas, Black-Caribbean, Black-African, African-American

Rehearsal Dates:
Week 1: Thursday 4 April in the evening
Week 2: Thursday 11 April in the evening,
Week 3: Tuesday 16 April and Thursday 18 April in the evening
Week 4: Tuesday 23 April in the evening and Saturday 27 April in the morning
Week 5 w/c 29 April Technical rehearsal
